ArkaeOdyssey – IRELAND IN PARIS
Wednesday, March 11th from 6:30 to 8:30 P.M.
Discovery of the Irish heritage at the Irish Cultural Center. The guided and enriched tour with archaeological information will focus on the Heritage Library which preserves three illuminated manuscripts, the history of the building of the Collège des Irlandais, the visit of the chapel, as well as the presentation of the media library resources. The tour will end in a pub for a free and documented discussion around a drink by ArkéoTopia.

ArkaeoMovies – THE VIKINGS, BARBARIANS AND MERCHANTS

Saturday, March 28th at 8 P.M
Kirk Douglas and Tony Curtis take us into an epic that we will discuss at the end of the screening with Yvan Barat, archaeologist at the Departmental Archaeological Service of the Yvelines (SADY in French). Prior questions will allow you to watch or re-watch this cult movie with a different perspective.

ArkaeoBreak – ARCHAEOLOGY… I WANT TO KNOW EVERYTHING!
Thursday, April 9th from 6:30 to 8:30 P.M
Friendly meeting at L’Apatam Corner Café. In a magical living space, meet an archeologist and the visiting personalities and ask them questions. You want to know everything there is to know about being an archeologist, about ancient Egypt, about the illuminated manuscripts, about the archaeological research implications in your daily life or anything else… come and discuss freely with them.
ArkaeoBreak – THE MAKING OF THE ILLUMINATED MANUSCRIPTS
Friday, April 24th from 6:30 to 8 P.M
Friendly meeting around a drink. The archaeologists and heritage professionals come and share their passion and answer your questions about the making of the illuminated manuscripts, the tools, the preparation of the support, the writing, the inks, the coloring, the binding, etc. With Monique Zerdoun, researcher at the IRHT (Institute for Research and History of Texts) and Philippe Bonnenberger, amateur scientist, specialist in illuminated manuscripts.

ArkaeoMovies – BRENDAN AND THE SECRET OF KELLS

In partnership and programming with the Studio des Ursulines.
Decoding, questions and discussion around the animated film (2009 release) by Irish director Tom Moore. Monique Zerdoun, researcher at the IRHT (Institute for Research and History of Texts) and Philippe Bonnenberger, amateur scientist, specialist in illuminated manuscripts will analyze the theme and answer your questions.
JUNE
ArkaeOdyssey – FROM STONE TO FEATHER, marvels of Celtic Ireland
From Thursday 18th to Sunday the 21st, June
A great weekend in and around Dublin. The Celtic manuscripts and the legendary Book of Kells at the Trinity College, Dublin’s treasures at the National Museum of Archeology, the major prehistoric archeological site of Tara, Mellifont Abbey and its washbasin, the Monasterboice’s crosses and the magic pubs in Temple Bar to the sound of violins and songs.
Like for all the ArkaeOdyssey organized by the association, you will benefit from specialists’ skills, in supervision as well as in valorization of the program by Jean-Olivier Gransard-Desmond, Dr in archaeology.
